Partnering with The Dram Team to Offer Tasting Packs for Whisky Courses
The Dram Team is a UK-based whisky subscription service that specialises in curating and delivering unique whisky tasting boxes straight to your door. Founded in 2016 by Chris Borrow – a lifelong Scotch enthusiast and former management consultant – The Dram Team have worked with the likes of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), Milroy’s of Soho, Loch Lomond and Glen Scotia.
We were introduced to Chris in 2020 while developing the online version of our flagship Diploma in Single Malt Whisky (at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic). With their eye for quality packaging and logistics, The Dram Team worked closely with Kirsty to create a bespoke sample box for the course, featuring 15 whisky samples, a Glencairn glass, a pin badge, and a notebook.
The online Diploma in Single Malt Whisky tasting pack includes the black EWA lapel pin, branded Glencairn glass and A5 notebook, six world whiskies and nine blind samples for the practical sensory element of the final SQA assessment.
This year (2025) marks the fifth year that Chris and his team have shipped online Diploma sample kits to customers in the UK, EU, USA, Latin America, UAE, Australia, Canada, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan and Türkiye.
When we launched the Certificate in American Single Malt Whiskey in the summer of 2024, we knew where to go to create an accompanying tasting kit.
The Certificate in American Single Malt Whiskey tasting kit includes 6x30ml samples - Virginia Distillery Co., Stranahan’s, Boulder Spirits, Andalusia, Whiskey Del Bac, and McCarthy’s - to accompany the Sensory module taught by Joseph O'Sullivan. It is available to customers in the UK & USA.
With limited distribution of American single malt whiskey in the UK, it was invaluable to have The Dram Team handle the bottling and shipping for our UK students. This effort enhanced the overall experience of the new course, showcasing six exceptional American single malts.

The smooth success of this process inspired us to introduce a tasting kit for our bestselling course, the Certificate in Scotch Whisky. Featuring six delicious Scotch whiskies, handpicked by course instructors Vic Cameron and Dr Gordon Steele, the kit offers an engaging addition to the learning experience.
