Expanding Whisky Education in the Levant

We're committed to making certified whisky education accessible worldwide. Our Approved Course Provider, Samer Abi Farah, is leading this mission in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq through Levant Whisky Academy.

Last week, Samer hosted two information sessions in Lebanon, introducing attendees to the depth of whisky knowledge our courses offer.

Irish Whiskey: Past & Present

On 6 February at Les Caves de Taillevent, Samer explored the history and resurgence of Irish whiskey, offering attendees a glimpse into the expertise packed into our Certificate in Irish Whiskey course.

What’s Really in Your Whisky?

On 7 February at The Tasting Room, The Ring, he debunked whisky myths, helping attendees separate fact from fiction about their favourite drams.

A Shared Commitment to Whisky Education

Samer’s dedication to whisky education is commendable. In October 2024, he attended Edinburgh Whisky Academy’s first Advanced Diploma course, further developing his own knowledge and expertise in order to enhance his future offer to candidates when he begins teaching our Level 1 Certificate courses.

“I’m thrilled to bring certified whisky education to the Levant, where interest in whisky is growing rapidly,” says Samer Abi Farah.

Kirsty McKerrow, Founder & Managing Director of Edinburgh Whisky Academy, adds: “We’re proud to support Samer as he expands whisky education in the region. His passion aligns perfectly with our mission to provide high-quality, accredited learning worldwide.”

With Samer leading the way, whisky enthusiasts in the Levant have an exciting opportunity to deepen their knowledge through structured courses. Stay tuned for upcoming sessions!
