Aberlour

Aberlour Distillery, in the village of Aberlour, is in the heart of the Speyside whisky-producing region.

History
Founded in 1826 by James Fleming, Aberlour distillery has a long history and is celebrated for producing a diverse range of expressions that appeal to whisky enthusiasts worldwide. Currently owned by Pernod Ricard, Aberlour is somewhat of a flagship malt within its Scotch whisky lineup.

House Style & Core Expressions
Aberlour whiskies are known for their robust and complex flavour profiles. The distillery uses copper pot stills for distillation, and the spirit is often matured in a combination of American oak and European oak sherry casks. The use of sherry casks contributes to the rich, fruity, and often spicy characteristics of Aberlour whiskies. Some of the well-known expressions include Aberlour 12 Year Old, Aberlour 16 Year Old, and Aberlour A'Bunadh. A cask-strength, non-age statement whisky, the A'Bunadh is a popular and sought-after expression.

Visitor Centre
Aberlour Distillery has a visitor centre where whisky enthusiasts can take guided tours to learn about the production process, explore the warehouses, and enjoy tastings of Aberlour whiskies.
