Whisky Words: Husk
Vic Cameron, one of our whisky lecturers says: “Husk is one of the components of the barleycorn. It's the outer protective shell that protects the whole corn. And it's vital that we protect that husk because that's what we need in mashing to make the filter bed in our mashtun.”
