Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a bartender who loves my job very much. I enjoy doing research for my profession and to further my career. I like to follow what's popular in the world and one day I would like to own my own business or become a brand ambassador. 

How did you first discover whisky?

To be honest, originally, I was just drinking whisky with friends. Later on, I realised that this special drink was too valuable to be consumed in such a way and I started researching the beautifully complex world of whisky.

Which part(s) of the EWA course(s) did you find most enjoyable?

As I attended in-person sessions with Yiğit Akdemir of Uzkeba, Edinburgh Whisky Academy’s Approved Course Provider in Turkey, I enjoyed the short, professional conversations during breaks and tastings in the class.

What made the EWA course(s) different from any previous whisky training you have completed?

I studied the Certificate in Scotch Whisky, the Certificate in Irish Whiskey and the Certificate in Gin. For me, the difference was the level of detail and thorough explanation of each topic.

How has the EWA course(s) helped progress your career/contributed to your professional life?

The EWA courses have helped me to develop and grow faster in my profession, that is, to climb the steps of success not one by one, but three by three.

First whisky you ever tasted?
Johnnie Walker Black Label.

Best whisky you have ever tasted?
Definitely Lagavulin 16.

Favourite distillery to visit?
I still haven't been able to visit a distillery. One of my biggest wishes for the future!

Favourite non-whisky drink?
Beer and wine.

Favourite whisky and food pairing?
Tenderloin with bittersweet sauce and cask strength whisky.
